What part of Unsubscribe don't you understand?

I recently renewed my GS membership and I foolishly gave the person I was speaking to my email address. Since then, I have been bombarded with spam email from GS and affiliated companies every single day, even though I have hit the Unsubscribe button several times and updated my preferences.

Please respect my wishes and stop sending me your unsolicited garbage. You're nothing more than a spammer to me at this point and I will be blocking you forever unless you address this issue now.
  • Your email provider should have the ability to "report as junk". If you have unsubscribed and the emails keep coming, start reporting them all as junk. When the provider gets enough reported, they will start automatically blocking the sender - not just with your emails, but all their customers.

I was hoping someone from this organization would see my OP and reach out to unsubscribe me but it's obvious nobody is minding the store with the exception of the volunteer moderators in this group.

The next unsolicited email I get I'll tag it as spam and I'll never see another again.
  • Exactly. "What part of Unsubscribe don't you understand?" Apparently unsubscribe requests just disappear into a black hole.

By design, "Unsubscribing" from Good Sam and Camping World solicitations is like playing a game of "Whack A Mole". You unsubscribe from one of their entities and they just double up on SPAM from another. Unsubscribe from that one, and yet another slightly different "nuance" or "division" will start spamming you. It never stops!!

Wake up Marcus. You are angering and alienating customers with your SPAM emails.
  • Another reason to use 'throw away email addresses" and save your real very personal email address for close friends and family and such.

Somehow I don't think good ol Marcus reads any of these posts.

I have several "extra" email addresses in addition to my "real" one. I have four "junk" ones (gmail and yahoo) and use one for service billing, one for exclusively forums like this one, etc and one for the "need an email" websites and places I'm pretty sure will sell my email. I just bulk delete about once a month. I do find it interesting how many "banks" and other companies that I supposedly have, use my junk addresses that they shouldn't be using to tell me I need to log into my account. An indicator that those are fakes.
  • Hello gemsworld,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your email concerns.
Please send a private message with your email address and we will get it unsubscribed.

    Thank you,
    Good Sam Customer Care Team
  • What the “Unsubscribe” button is designed to do and do well is to CONFIRM that the address they have been spamming is a GOOD address and will continue to be used.

    NEVER use an unsubscribe button.
