There are 46 chapters in Oregon. A chapter is a group that has events or activities on the local level.

Our chapter here in Ohio has seven campouts per year, a Thanksgiving dinner, a Christmas party, and meets at a local restaurant the three remaining months. We have about 25 rigs in our chapter.

Ohio also has three state Samborees a year which are a great way to have a good time with other RVers. Oregon has one Samboree in June. For assistance in locating a chapter near you, contact your state director. The state director's email is on the state Good Sam page.

where are these chapters and what do they do

To get the maximum benefit from your Good Sam membership, I suggest you join and participate in a local chapter. Other than a few Camping World purchases, I have never purchased any other Good Sam products.

There's no more Camping World Presidents Club membership. It's all Good Sam's now. If you have a Good Sam Club membership, then you receive the member discounts at Camping World.

You are a Good Sam Club member and a Good Sam Emergency Roadside Member and that's it. There are other thing's (Good Sam brand) that you could pay to be a member of as well. Good Sam Extended Service Plan, Good Sam TravelAssist, and of course you could have insurance through Good Sam (under a different carrier such as National General and Allied/Nationwide).
