why so many member cards from GS?

I recently bought a new MH from CW..... they gave me meberships in GS + rodside assist + travel assist
It took a while for them to all trickle in, but why do I need three cards, when one would do?!?
each card with a different member number.

Seems like a dumb move on their part for spending $ to make three cards then mail them each seperately. Not to mention the inconvenience to teh member for needing a bigger wallet!

One memebr number...
I call in..."Yes, I would like roadside assistance please."
GS - "what is your member number?"
me - "1234"
GS - click click, "yes, i see taht you are enroled in Road Assist, I will send help. Also, I see taht you are enroled in Travel assist, sounds like you may need help with that too. I can help with that to. Would you like......"

  • It's because they are putting band aids on the whole system, rather than take the time to clean it up and streamline it. Just like the new swipe and save cards. It would of been a perfect time to do all this, but they were too eager to get those cards out. I've brought it up several times before and it falls on deaf ears.
  • It's the same question as to why so many catalogs? In the corporate world this is what they call a "Low Hanging Fruit" for an easy cost reduction. They could write a simple computer program to compare addresses and eliminate all of the extra printing and postage costs. Even if their computer system is too old, they could hire some high school kids for the summer and save way more than what the labor costs. It's our membership money that's paying for their sloppiness.
