I don't understand your comment. You could use a 5% cash back CC and your savings on fuel would be double the GS card savings. Furthermore you could have this savings at virtually any fuel station.CA Traveler wrote:
I get 5% cash back on gas, diesel and propane, US and Canada on my credit card, ie about 20 cents/gallon.
Good Sam Fuel discounts vary on gas/diesel: Good Sam Member 4/6 cents Canada 1/1 cents, Good Sam Life Member 6/8 cents Canada 2/2 cents and Good Sam Elite Member 7/9 cents Canada 2/2 cents. Use your fuel, membership and CC rewards for your comparison.
Well you can use the 20 cents off a gallon on your diesel. More beneficial to you than me as I have a gas motorhome and pay about 50 cents less a gallon. At least around here. - wbwoodExplorer

But Once again it is NOT free. You have to join their GS 'Club' first to use it. :R:R
I have 2 of GS services. And pay WAAAAY more in those 2 services than what it cost to join the GS Club. I choose not to join their GS 'Club'. I have no need for it's so called CG discounts.
So anyone not joining their 'Club' membership, irregardless of how many other GS services they have paid for, can not use their website for specials or even look at their website. There are most likely some specials I just might buy, IF I could look at their website.
When IS GS going to fix that?????
Just like you have to be a Sams Club member to get their "special" pricing....or Costco....or BJ's.....
BTW there is more to the club than just cg discounts. I just did a trip and saved $10 in gas using the Flying J RV Plus card. And I looked at the other gas stations around and they were either the same starting price or the other places were higher. I saved 7 cents a gallon. I also got $5 off the Oxygenics shower spa within the last year. And there were some other items that I got discounted on that I bought using their coupons. Altogether, just right there (not including probly another $5-10 in savings in gas), I more than paid for the yearly membership fee.
I too have many GS products.
- GS Club (Life and Elite member)
- GSRA (until 2020)
- GS ESP (until 2020)
- GS Travel Assist (think it's ending)
- GS Insurance (get our insurance through their brokerage)
As a GS member, you get access to the $39 installations done at CW. 25% of LP gas on Tuesday and Wednesdays. 4 free copies of Motorhome magazine (or Trailer Life). Free RV dump station priveleges.SamALert - RV recall notification. Discounts on the other GS services and more. I was able to take advantage of the LEO discount a couple years ago and get the Life membership for $149. In 4 more years, it will have paid for itself. - TinyoneRVExplorerWhile Google Maps or Yahoo Maps and your GPS can all plan a route for you, the advantage of the GS app is it gives you the campgrounds and "Things to do" along the route.

I don't expect GS to allow free use of the things I pay for. - catmancandoExplorerok thanks to all who gave advice can now get back to fla without any big citys along the way
- CA_TravelerExplorer IIII typically use S&T for route planning. It's reasonably good, will save a route and does not require me to be online to use it. And then I use a Garmin GPS when driving.
I did experiment with using the S&T GPS but found that physically setting up and supporting a laptop to be challenging. The Garmin with a bean bag is used in all of my vehicles. - CA_TravelerExplorer III
