Never been a fan of anything Good Sam... but we do carry their travel assist insurance as we do a lot of motorcycle riding when we travel with the Motorhome and even a minor accident could leave one or both of us needing the coverage.
I am also a member of just plain old GS as I do shop their local {Tucson} store and occasionally take advantage of the 10 per cent campground/Park discount. Two major aggravations with Good Sam:
First the volume of junk mail is off of the chart. No amount of checking boxes or complaining does anything to diminish the garbage flow. Secondly they bill for renewal of any of their programs months in advance which is in and of itself a scam.
I deal with lots of other firms who send their renewal bills a few weeks before it is due and I pay them promptly. When I get renewal bills from GS, sometimes 6 months early I trash them knowing there will be at least 5 more coming. If GS would stop all of the garbage mail they could probably reduce their fees across the board... not that that will ever happen. :S
