I think GS Roadside Assistance is a good deal. When we first started RVing 18 years ago with an older class C, some friends suggested we sign up. I think it was $65/yr at the time. Two or three years later we had a mechanical problem 150 miles from home (and the nearest RV service) on Friday evening of Memorial Day Weekend. We called it in and were towed back that evening. The truck driver said the tow would have been $1,200.00 or so. We have kept the insurance ever since.
No other RV mechanicals but we have have called a couple of flats, pulled out of the ditch (snow conditions) on our cars. When my daughter had her rear wheel fall off, she called Good Sam RS and even though she didn't have my member number they looked me up and towed her car.
Cheap insurance, never a worry!
- footnote - we live in Alaska and towing an RV anywhere costs a mint. If you don't go far from major services it might be worth the gamble. If you find yourself saying, "hey kids, lets play count the coyotes", I would pitch in for the coverage.
