There is nothing better than getting a direct response from Canadian border officials & print it out.
Having said that I have some AK resident friends about to depart the Midwest next week to ferry their 5er home to AK. The word that they got from Canadian Immigration & Customs is that transiting by AK residents is fine, assuming virus free etc., & providing it is just that, a transit trip. No scenic detours. No stopping for a few days without good reason.
I was told 24 hours from into to out of Canada. I have no idea how that amount of distance can be done in such a short period of time however as long as you don't delay who is going to check?
Just don't turn it into a recreational trip. I have no idea of CG availability so at the last chance to dump & refill I'd be inclined to do just that.
Respectfully Lakeside 013104, US Border Protection & immigration have absolutely no say on who can or cannot enter Canada. That is entirely up to Canadian officials. You don't even stop at a US checkpoint on crossing into Canada.
