What studies?
Just curious... you know that wearing non surgical masks to prevent the spread of a virus is about as effective as chain link fence prevent the spread of mosquitos, right? In fact, studies have shown that masks that are saturated from breathing are actually MORE likely to harbor the virus because of the humid warm environment on the mask?
This is the only one on non-surgical masks I can find.
Invitro filtration efficiency for selected face masks to bacteria with a size smaller than SARS-CoV-2 respiratory droplet
This study suggests double cloth masks are effective at filtering exhaled virus containing droplets. - dodge_guyExplorer II

Fact: Canada and USA are running the same number of tests per Capita; Canada has a lower positive test rate per Capita than the USA. Why would Canada want to allow a more infected herd to cross their border to seed more hotspots within their herd?
Maybe it’s because of how they are doing their testing? Canada’s health care is completely different than ours. So they don’t need to pad the numbers for $$$$$. - Grit_dogNavigator

The overwhelming majority of people that are wearing masks have a very false sense of confidence in the ability of the mask to protect them,

It's the most amazing unintended social experiment, this Covid thing, that I've ever seen.

Here's a paper aggregating several studies about the effectiveness of masks for preventing respiratory virus transmission.

You really should read the linked articles in this non-peer reviewed literature summary. The linked studies are about masks preventing the wearer from getting sick; not about about masks preventing sick people from spreading viruses.
Read this peer reviewed report
Respiratory virus shedding in exhaled breath and efficacy of face masks which assessed the efficacy of surgical mask use by patients to prevent them from spreading virus droplets. - CFergusonExplorer'Minuscule' is what a mask does for you or others re viruses. Look up the sizes.
That said, I want to revisit Canada as much as anyone but a country has the right to run its borders any way it wants. Hopefully we can all get back to where we were (or better) soonest. - wilber1ExplorerWearing masks is like vaccinations, those who do protect those who don't, but not the other way around.
