But would you want to live in Mexico on that wage. They may have had to pay the RV Park owner up to 50% of that just to have access to the park.

The Mexican waxes I've paid dearly for are the quickie-on quickie-off style.. looks good for only a few weeks. Wax needs to dry and then be buffed for really good results. Time consuming and hard work.

So bring your own wax. Good wax does not need to be buffed, it just needs to be applied, dry and wiped off. Do you think Mexicans can't do time consuming hard work? Sounds like you got what you failed to pay for.

the man's name may have been Carlos, he did ours Dec of 2014. And NO he did not have to pay the RV resort. He travels up to the enclave just outside town, also.

HAH! You should have asked some questions. They took their time, and several breaks. Max they spent was 4 hours, I paid attention. It's not HARD labor, I've done it. Just 9 months ago actually. It's easy. It is tedious though.

They also got to use my tools and my detergent so they saved operating expenses. Also Kiki's is known for giving outside people that work here a break so the 50% number mentioned by another poster isn't true here. I was told they don't have to pay anything. Kiki's thinks of it as providing their guests perks.

So they made $10/hour each for unskilled labor. Or $12.50/hour if you include the tip. You could make a case for their expenses eating up some of that, but based on the equipment they had, it's age, and condition, I'd say they amortized that stuff years ago. So their only real expense was the Turtle wax.

I even donated two pots of coffee that they heartily scarfed down.

Jim, thanks for the info and I love the people of San Felipe. The way I see this; if you were happy and they were happy... it was a good deal. There are lots of nay-sayers around, sometimes I feel sorry for them. I have done Mexicali West and Tecate in my Pickup. I am not sure that I would want to use either of them in a large vehicle. I have been considering bringing my Class A DP and wondering which crossing you used. JH
