We were planned to RV down the Baja this past winter and very very much looking forward to it, with events planned at various locations.
After the hurricane that hit Cabo and post reports on looting, robberies and so on that occurred we abandoned our plans to do so remaining in the USA, and the more we read on goings on in Mexico, corrupt law enforcement etc the longer we foresee time passing before we feel comfortable to do so if ever.
Whilst we are sure some of the reports are blown totally out of proportion, and we do try hard to read between the lines and ascertain stupidity versus being in the wrong place at the wrong time situations, there generally is no smoke without fire!
If ever we do make it down there, and we really hope we do, we would want to be a large group with others of similar interests who ideally yearn for the beach boon docking and water activities we would seek.
