My wife add I are sort of thinking along the lines of dkilley about flying down to PV and either buying or renting a car. We are stuck at home this winter for medical reasons, and will surely travel down to La Peñita with our Arctic Fox next fall. We leave our larger 5th wheel in storage there, and we have a friend who will place it on our site, and has for the last two years. The cost factor is part of our thinking, considering the deposit on the truck, the cost of insurance, and the cost of diesel and tolls for the 950 miles or more from the border and back in the spring. Several of our friends who drove down this fall have all told us that the roads down are not on good shape, (putting it mildly), which is another consideration.
