It has been three years since we RVed in Mexico. We traveled extensively for 4 years and visited 26 (or maybe 27) states as well as Belize. (What the heck we were camped a mile from the border) We haven't returned simply because there are other countries we have wanted to visit. Bottom line is the budget is the budget and spending most of the summer in Europe left us tired and broke this year. (But wow what a summer). We are in wintering in Palm Springs this year and saving our pennies so we can fly to Peru, Panama and Costa Rica next winter. This year we managed to take in Bryce and Zion national parks in the US and we have a trip planned that will take in the show in Quartzite and a few weeks in San Diego. I have to say though, our next trip to Mexico will not be in an RV. We intend to fly to the big Tamale (Mexico city) in 2017 or 2018 for a couple of weeks as well as a week in Guadalajara. Probably fly into one and out of the other. Even after visiting 9 European countries and Morocco our favourite historical cities are still in Mexico. Better preserved, cleaner and better presented. We are now reluctant to comment on RV travel in Mexico because we have been out of it for three years and of course things change. We may someday return to RVing in Mexico but we have a lot of ground to cover before then. I do miss it though. One of my favourite countries. Tenemos buenos recuerdos.
