Unfortunately, the Government in Mexico is unwilling, incapable, or corrupt and are letting the drug cartels run many parts of the country. It looks like IT IS affecting the RVers who wish to go down there and many RV parks are closing. Yes, if you stay in the "Mexico Lite" areas you will probably be OK.
The big item here is that this stuff has been going on for years - and is only getting worse. It seems to be a trend. Here in the good old USA at least you can count on the police, Military and government(Local/State/Federal) officials not to shoot you (except in circumstances most WILL NEVER find us in) or make you "disappear".
The vast majority on this board are "Pro American. anti buying goods made elsewhere (especially from China) etc.
So stay out of that messed up country and spend your dollars here!
