I do not know if this will help, but a few years back I did this and used a mini Single Pole Double Through SPDT switch and put the wire to G to the middle terminal and the Low speed to the lower terminal and the High Speed to the upper terminal and it worked great. I had both speeds available. It does not seem correct to attach both hi and low speed wires together at terminal G. Hope this may help, Happy Trails Bert
