( SOLVED) Generator slide out not sliding out

Just FYI, I've posted this on another "coach specific" forum and may be able to solve my problem from potential answers form them. I haven't crawled under there yet since I spent the day cleaning up my roof top A/C units. I may be able to look tomorrow so does anyone have ideas on what I should be looking for?

On my "new to me" 2002 Monaco Windsor, the 7500 Onan genset is on a slide in the front. I went out to exercise the genset today and thought I would slide it out, just to see what all kind of stuff is in there. I pressed the genset slide button but nothing happened. I know it has worked in the past. I tested it when I bought it and again once after I got it home. I tried the switch both directions. I can hear the motor running but the slide isn't coming out. Is there anything I need to do before the slide extends? I'm still trying to learn the in's and out's of this motorhome and there is a lot more to it as opposed to my '94 Allegro Bus. BTW and just FYI, I was able to exercise the generator. It cranks up and runs like a charm.

Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Wait, a genset, something that's opened maybe twice a year, is on a hydraulic slide all it's own?

I've never seen, actually never heard of that. They're all manual pull out afaik. So...following this thread. Might be time to learn something new.

I hoping to learn something too Jim but yeah, it has it's own slide.

Is there a release on it, for manual operation and since you're saying that you can hear the pump running. Hyd. pump should be near by and assuming it has fluid, most likely Dextron III.
Does your passenger side floor work and could be the same pump that is used for it.
I have the pump in the driver's side front bay, but only for the floor and since my genset doesn't slide out. I'd like that, but not sure of potential problems and their history in general.

Yes, the passenger floor moves fine. It is air assisted and not hydraulic,,,,, I think.

I crawled under and checked the fluid in the little pump. It's right beside the genset slide on the curb side. It's full and clean.

There is not a lock on the generator slide and it's powered by the same pump that operate your slides... near the steps. It sounds to me that the 12V solenoid valve is not energizing. You can follow the hoses from the generator slide to which valve on the valve body operates that slide. Check for 12V when someone else tries to open the gen slide. If you have 12V then ohm the 12V coil... probably 10-15 ohms. If all of this checks out I would then try tapping on the valve body with a small hammer while someone tries to move it in/out.

You may be able to get the solenoid coil from Monaco 877-466-6226 and they will ask for the last 6 of your vin.

If you are parked with your slides out, you might be low on fluid. The HWH reservoir is up in the area below the step well. If you have a small storage bin under a step, if you take the fasteners out & lift out the bin, you will be looking down at the pump and reservoir. Also, you might "snug up" the valves on the side of the pump. There is an in & out valve for each slide function. The out valve for the gen slide might be somewhat open.
Any help or ideas are appreciated.

Not so much the twice a year thing, but more accessible all around for trouble shooting. I can only do so much to mine with the way it looks and anything more would require dropping it out the bottom.
Not even sure what I can get to and not if needed, so just saying.
