SINE wave invertor? I will have to do some checking on that. The invertor was installed by the previous owner, not a factory installed one. Hopefully I can find more specs on it, perhaps on the manufactures web site.
The invertor does have a remote on-off switch, so the parasitic power draw that was mentioned could be avoided by simply switching it off.
At this point the invertor simply has two power outlets on it. It has not been actually wired to an outlet receptacle in the cabin.
I'm thinking it would not be to hard to add one, perhaps just using an extension cord, cutting the female end off and wiring it to a new wall mounted receptacle. Is that something anyone has done before, or would you just use the extension cord as is?
I am amazed at what little power draw these LED type TV's and DVD players use as previously qupoted. Sure a long cry from the old tube TV and VHS players did. That's good news!
Do they sell TV's that run off both 110v and 12v these days? I had one years ago that worked on either. Would seem the best of both worlds.
