Of course a thorough check is necessary to make sure your TV operates internally at 12 volts DC ... and not some other low DC voltage.
For instance ... our 26 inch LED TV operates internally off a low DC voltage - but 18 volts - instead of 12 volts.
To operate it in our motorhome when drycamping and not use an inverter, I'd have to use a 12 volt to 18 volt DC upconverter. At this point I don't know which would be the more efficient way to use the TV in the motorhome: Use the TV with it's brick and an inverter, or use it with a DC-to-DC upconverter.
Does anyone have any idea on which way would be more efficient use of our RV's coach batteries when using the TV? (For what it's worth, my inverter is a pure sign wave one, which is probably less efficient than a modified sign wave inverter.)
