My two cents. Viewing angles have really improved but you still have to choose carefully. The cheapest TV may not be the best choice. Everything about the 12v adapters is correct. The adapters will put out 14v or so but when loaded down by the TV the voltage is lower, unless it is a regulated power supply. Small adapters usually aren't. So if it is a 12v TV you can set up power to your batteries and save current by skipping the inverter. Having a mount that tilts is really worth it because you can sit a little below and still have it face you straight on and you can swing it out of the way. Also there are some nice monitor/ TV units that can be used with your laptop with an HDMI cable and even better some take USB jump drives which if you load the TV shows on them play really well.
