12 volt

First question. Why do my 12 volt lights get brighter when I plug into shore power? Next question is if I tap into my 12 volt reading light in the bedroom can I use those wires to run a pig tail to install a cigarette lighter plug so I can use my c-pap machine that runs on 12 volt?

    Cpap machine is kind of important. I would run a whole new circuit with a fuse or circuit breaker and 12v accessory plug just for the Cpap machine.

    If you're still running incans you should replace with LEDs... the kind that will tolerate voltage fluctuations.

    Your lights get brighter when you plug into shore power because that turns on your converter/charger. Whether you can power your cpap machine depends on the wire size, the fuse size protecting that wire and the amperage of your machine.
