Even a motorhome in great shape is going to have problems. There's always something to fix. My suggestion would be to start with one in great shape so that when all the problems crop up, at least you're not already out thousands to begin with. An RV that old is just going to be one thing after the other so unless you're into doing restorations and making this your hobby, I'd suggest moving on.
