Since you indicate that it is getting fuel, I would look at the ignition system. Specifically, the ignition control module, or igniter. It is located in the distributor under the rotor. Clicky
Sometimes they go out slow(and behave as described by the OP), and sometimes they go quick and you find yourself stranded on the interstate( ask me how I know ??).
