I suggested that at the very beginning. It seems the OP is going down a rabbit hole. It's not a terribly complex system. I doubt the fronts are dragging. When you jack it up, can you spin the front wheels? If so, that's not the problem.
Again, I suspect lack of braking action from the rears. BTDT.
