I would replace both of the front rubber brake lines. The brake lines can break down internally and cause a restriction of the brake fluid. Then I would completely flush out your entire brake system. This should take 3-4 quarts of brake fluid.
Check each part of the brake linkage, including the brake pedal under the dash, to insure that they are properly lubricated and operating with out any drag.
