1998 Rexhall Aerbus??

My husband just saw a 1998 Rexhall Aerbus for 12 thousand and would like to go and look at it. It would be our first and only Motorhome. I have not heard very much about this motorhome. Have any of you and do you have an opinion? We would be happy to hear it good and bad. We have forwarded some questions to the owner, and are waiting to hear back.

    We had good luck with our Rexhall. Like Bumpy said the 98 was on the old ford chassis with the 460 engine and 16 in.wheels. From 99 on they used the newer Ford chassis with larger wheels and more capacity and the V10 engine.

Another big Plus in a Rexhall, is that they are built in "Steel Cages", so no worry's if you ever got a leak, no wood in the walls to rot or worry about.

    We also before owned a "NASH" 5th Wheel Travel Trailer as well. Also built by Northwood Industries as well. We were Just as Happy with the 5er as well, for the 6 years that we owned that one two.

    I do all of my own work on everything we have ever owned in the past 46+ years as RV'ers and Boon-Dockers. No RV Shops, or so called Service Techs for us.

    Thank you, we have heard back from seller, and hopefully will be seeing it this weekend. They have stated they are selling it through EYS Services...now I just have to figure out what that is..lol.

    Thank you all for your opinions, advice. Now if the seller would just contact us, so we can go through it and speak with him. When I am selling something I am on top of it, or it has sold and he is just not bothering with the rest of us...lol.

    I worked for Rexhall and didn't hear of any issues with this model or with the slide-out.
    Ford chassis seemed to be better then rather than the Chevy.

    that has a large slide out in the "early" days of them so be sure to examine any sign of previous leakage etc. At one time they put a "wall" supporting the middle of the slide to prevent issues.

    36' CLASS A ~ 1998 AERBUS MOTORHOME BY REXHALL. A VERY WELL CARED FOR COACH. HAS A 14' SUPERSLIDE, WITH EXTRA WIDE LIVING AREA. FORD 460 WITH OVERDRIVE.

    There is a large description of this motorhome, right now this is all I have except for it is fully loaded with everything they could throw at it in 1998. We are waiting for correspondence back for owner.

    I had a 99 Aerbus. No problems what-so-ever. Ran great, solid, everything worked as it should right out of the box. Fiberglass roof, excellent internal wall structure. Great value for the money.

    what chassis is it on? if a 1998 gasser it would probably be on a chevy P-30/32 or old ford chassis with 16 inch wheels. neither option is that great. I liked them when I looked at them back when.

    We have traveled & lived in our 1998 Airbus for 15 years. We have experienced
    fewer problems than the people we have met with bigger & more expensive units.
    I cannot speak for the 1 you are looking at but ours has been great for us.

Another big Plus in a Rexhall, is that they are built in \"Steel Cages\", so no worry's if you ever got a leak, no wood in the walls to rot or worry about.

We also before owned a \"NASH\" 5th Wheel Travel Trailer as well. Also built by Northwood Industries as well. We were Just as Happy with the 5er as well, for the 6 years that we owned that one two.

I do all of my own work on everything we have ever owned in the past 46+ years as RV'ers and Boon-Dockers. No RV Shops, or so called Service Techs for us.
