But, as already posted, anytime you have a performance issue with a diesel, new fuel filters is the inexpensive, easy first step.
A 1999 Discovery has the Cummins ISB 275 HP engine in it with the Allison 3000MH transmission.
Getting a manifold crack is common. I never have had mine bounce up and down at idle. So at a loss with that.
