2000 Fleetwood Bounder 39Z - Open Neutral issue

So we just had to replace all 6 batteries on the motorhome due to extreme cold weather we have had this winter. Yesterday we went to pick up the motorhome and after firing up the generator the microwave never turned on. thats usually our visual reference that everything turned on. all other electronics seemed to turn on properly. we plugged in a 3 prong tester to the microve outlet and it indicated open neutral? we tested many other outlets through out the coach and they all tested fine. The microwave outlet was the only one indicating open neutral? Please help

  • Normally only two places can create your symptom.
Loose neutral in the back of the 120 volt AC distribution panel.
Loose connection in the back of the receptacles
  • all the breakers are fine that we can find, we left it at RV America so they could check it out - i am just trying to prepare myself for bad news - the batteries were bad enough and we have a big trip planned next week
  • If everything else is working on 120 OK, then I would think that there is a problem with the wire going to that receptacle. May be a loose connection, or a broken wire on the receptacle . You will need to find the source and check it there. May be the neutral wire at the bus bar going to that receptacle is loose or broken. JMO
