2002 Shasta

Hello everyone. My name is Matt. Just purchased a 2002 Shasta. My wife has starting calling it Shasta McNasty. So the nick name has kinda stuck with us. Its a nice, clean RV. The RV has 54k miles on it. Of course I am starting to replace some items.

Does anyone know if the Side door screen plastic cover that slides side to side is an universal part? I need to replace that.

Also what gasket does around the side door. Its a foam gasket. Looking to replace that.

Thank you.
  • The tank is fixed in the chassis so you have to pull up close to the filling station. Some places are not equipped with a hose long enough to reach. Best to check first.

  • Question, How do you full the propane tank up? Do you remove it, bc I dont see how it comes out. Or do you take the RV to a fill station?

The little sliding part is universal, or close to it. There's one out now that has a built-in "Pusher" to open the screen door without sliding it over. Looks like this:

The pic is from Amazon. The new part is $23, the original style about $15.

    Check measurements before ordering.

Thanks for info. I ordered it from Amazon. Perfect match.

  • Just ordered a tub of sealant for my fender skirt that I had to order for the drivers side, and the sewer hose.

There many different screen door slides. ***Link Removed***. Measure the opening in your door. Then select the one that fits.

That looks like the one I have on there now. Thanks.
