Thanks all for your replies. I have actually spoken to Ford, Banks, Summit, Magnaflow and others about replacement options. Ford was the least helpful, with the others close behind. We don't have emission testing in Ohio, but it is still a requirement to have one installed and I support emission controls. Plus, I plan to sell/trade it some day, so really do need to have a replacement installed. Insurance for sure will pay for the replacement, it is just about finding a viable replacement. It was a good suggestion about a converter from the later model V10's so I will pursue that. I wonder if that is an installation or compatibility issue? Regardless, I'll check that our further.
