2006 LTV 210B

I bought a 2006 LTV 210B and have a few questions.

It is titled as a 2006 but from looking at the LTV brochures it has 2005 kitchen features. Can anyone explain this?
Not that I mind. I like this tall faucet neck and the above countertop Atwood stove with the larger burner better than the glass topped recessed sink and stove models. It has more drawers as well so I feel like a winner on this point.

Where is the coach battery located? I have looked everywhere and am unable to locate it. The guy doing the PDI was clueless as well and his comment after looking for a few minutes was maybe it doesn't have one. To prove or disprove this today I'm going to put a DMM on the chassis battery and turn on the furnace, 12V fridge and all lights to see if it pulls it down.

I'm sure there will be more questions to come so bear with me while I sort this thing out.

Driving it home last night was pure joy :)
  • We have two coach batteries in our 2005 LTV. One is located under the passenger seat and the other is on the drivers side in the back below the floor directly under the couch.

If you go to the LTV website you can download a brochure. Call them if you have questions. Their Customer Service is excellent.

    Enjoy your travels.
  • Hey, big congratulations! Hope you love your new purchase as much as we love ours (bought used in late 2010.)

Our house battery is also under the passenger seat.

I noticed that the style of fixtures varies among units I've seen in the 2005-2006 group. Our kitchen fixtures similar to yours, from the description. Maybe they just used them as they phased into different styles during that year. It's always fun to run into another 210B LTV when you are out traveling. We saw twins of ours in S. Dakota last year and on Key Largo this year. Instant camaraderie!

Will really look forward to hearing how it goes for you.
  • Congrats. The smaller RV makers often do running changes during the model year run. Some for the better, some for the worse. So it's nothing unusual. LTV is also one of the small makers that will do unit specific to that unit only changes if they're not too radical from the norm.
What year is the chassis of your unit? RV's are often made on the previous year's chassis to the coach builder's year. You may already know this.
Advice, unless you know when it was done last, change the oil and all the filters. It might be due for a coolant and transmission service too, as well as the brake fluid flush
  • Our coach batteries are in two boxes on either side of the trunk - under the rear couch. Good luck!
  • We ordered our 2005 LTV (2004 chassis) with two coach batteries and it had one on driver's side rear beside "basement" storage. The 2nd was under the passenger seat. The under seat location was difficult to service so I moved it to the back on the passenger side of "basement" storage with kit from LTV. They had changed to both batteries in back by that point so your battery(s) surely are there. Black metal plate covers each of them (or one of them depending if you have one or two).
  • Congratulations! We've also purchased a new-to-us 2006 LTV 210B last year. The house batteries are under the passenger seat and next to the basement storage in the back, on the driver side, under a black metal plate as mentioned below. The battery in front was made by Sparta and we had it replaced with an Instertate battery, same design, same features. The one in the back is a smaller battery and it serves as a back up to the main one underneath the passenger seat.

Ours is a 2005 Sprinter van made by Freightliner which Leisure Travel Vans converted in 2006.

We've travelled to Florida for the winter (1,700 miles trek) and the drive was smooth and very pleasant compared to our previous RV, a 37-foot Class A MH. Upon arriving here, the tires had been recalled by Michelin (they're 225 70 R16 (LTX M/S) tires. Boulevard Tires replaced them for free. You might want to check yours in case they were made in the same recall period. Info is available below in the thread called Tire Recall.

    Enjoy your new RV.
