As I recall when talking with the Equalizer rep most of the issues are Voltage - so battery and full charge then connections - a multimeter is critical to being sure that you are getting the proper voltage.
When I worked on it with the Service Tec it took us a couple hours to check all the circuits and get power to all the wires. and it takes two people to be safe and to help speed it up when working on it.
