Here in Texas we used to have a problem with Thieves cutting the 50 amp Shore Cords off the Motorhomes and just unplugging from the Trailers on the Sales lot and selling to recyclers. The various cities go together and started requiring lots of ID and the thefts have stopped. Doug
A friend (electrical engineer) works for a transit commission, a couple years back 2 guys were killed trying to cut a few hundred yards of copper cables (DC power, 2 cables per circuit) the size of your wrist out of the power grid for the subway grid.
The grid was still hot when they tried........
