I am still with the Winnie 2010 Journey purchased new July 2011 off the dealers show room floor. And yes, problems still exhist which have not been corrected. To wit:
1. PowerGear jack system "jacks down" alarm still has a mind of its own setting off the flashing red light and warning bell whenever it feels like it.
I have been told they have done everything possible. . .obviously something has not been done. Winnie is non responsive other than to refer me to a dealer who they prefer.
2. Jack system does not level the coach when you use auto level. It leaves the front low and listing to the right. I am told the system is leveling the chassis ! I am told the system does not level the house and I cannot have it both ways! ! ! Further, it is suggested the house is not level on the chassis ! OK readers, chime in.
3. All in one Jensen stereo, DVD player and radio in bedroom sounds terrible with the speakers installed. I am told the speakers are actually better then the Jensen unit but are mismatched. I am stuck as Winnie will do nothing. I have an appointment with the Geek squad at Best Buy. Main salon is no better therefore, not used, We installed a bose am/fm cd radio. Excellent sound.
They did remove and reinstall the MCD shades. . .the chirping and squeeking is gone !
4. Still no water pressure in the shower. Water pressure in bathroom sink and kitchen sink is fine. I am told it is as good as it will get. I have a video.
5. Satellite system is fixed however, cable system is still "snow." This has been checked and rechecked. . .no cure. They tell me it is somewhere within the walls or roof of the coach works.
6. Left side slide although repaired after it jammed is still "dogwalking" when extend/retract is performed. Again, Winnie says it requires no further dealer input. Right side slide and bedroom are very smooth.
7. NEW: Drivers window flexes causing a snapping, cracking, sound. It is most disconcerting. Everything is tight and secure. This I am told is because the glass is not as thick as other windows of this type. This occurs at interstate speeds 68 - 70 and is exaggerated when being passed by a semi. Sliding window closed and locked.
8. Winnie finally admitted to a recall on the entry door which when locked with the remote at night prior to retiring, will not unlock. We were locked in our first night out and three subsequent times. This was a safety issue and has been fixed.
To the individual who inquired if I was a 500 lb. person. . .NO, 6' @ 230. Why the question?
To the two who suggested "Lemon Law." Sorry, I do not know about other states however the Lemon Law in Florida only applies to the Chassis, not the coach works.
Last, I still wait for parts. . .the lighted hand bar at the entry door is inop since July. The lense for the entry light was defective and remains so since July. The potable water sensors read empty when you have 1/2 tank. . .sensors are on eternal back order.
Bottom line, We kick ourselves for selling our 08 Fleetwood Discovery. It never let us down. . .nothing failed. . .it is sorely missed. Our coach before the Fleetwood, a Newmar Dutch Star was for the most part a joy to own.
We are stuck and at the hands of Winnie who are quick to tell you why not rather then to tell you "this is what we can do to help you." And yes, they refused to make a factory appointment even at my expense to drive from Florida to the manufacturing facility.
We are open to any and all suggestions.
Thank you,
