Hello again. . .
Here we are in late June and the saga continues. The water issue in the shower was for the most part resolved with a new pump rated at 5 gpm. Thank you Winnebago. However, we have registered 9 RO complaints with the jack system. There are two control panels. . .one just inside the entry door and the other at the water/sewer bay. Interesting, regardless which one is used, the coach will not level EVEN ON THE MOST LEVEL SURFACE! Manual leveling as described in the Owner/Operators manual does not work. When you raise the jacks, the front raise as they should however, the rear hang up. Then there is a loud BANG and the coach literally drops. Dealer says NORMAL ! We went to have a second opinion. We were told our frame is twisted. Freightliner says it was not twisted when it was sent to Winnebago. BTW, jacks down warning light and alarm went off 71 times during a 2800 mile month long trip in May. Try dealing with that wonderful issue !
The crown molding along the ceiling on the left side came off (two pieces)and fell away an estimated 3' which we taped in place. New crown molding is ordered.
Rear camera became intermittant, then quit. Most disconcerting when you are towing a vehicle. Problem diagnosed as NO grommet where the connector cable goes through the rear shell and no dialectric grease at the connection. Corrosion ! Winne sent a new camera to the local RV center where I store the coach. Camera now installed properly and working. YEAH ! Thank you Winne Customer Relations for not making me drive 100 miles round trip to the servicing dealer.
Basement storage doors leak during rain conditions soaking the carpet in the left/right front double doors and the door at the shower location. Carpet stinks from being wet. Gasket replacement twice, now they are saying it is condensation from where we park!
Next, in working with customer relations, I informed them I would be in Louisville thru the 15th of July and would drive to Forest City to have their techs go through all the problems. I was told Yes/and NO.
The national event is scheduled and I was refused service during the week of the 16th and 23rd. Go figure, it is my timing issue. They suggested scheduling another trip. I responded by saying "I am half weay there!" No leverage with my reasoning.
Last, our Carefree Eclipse porch awning has commenced disassembly.. . .on its own. I sent pictures to Carefree and they immediately took steps to resolve it, suggested a temporary fix until I arrive back on 18 July when it will be serviced correctly and issues fixed. YEAH Carefree.
In talking with other owners, 10 have filed complaints with Lemon Law in their respective states and with the Forest City BBB. Guess what. . .if you file a complaint with the Forest City BBB, they mark it satisfied after they forward the complaint to Winnebago REGARDLESS
whether the complaint is satisfied or not. Go figure !
That's it for now; thanks for reading,
