2015 LTV Unity 24MB

Hi everybody. Long time no post!

Just a note to say we've purchased a 2015 Leisure Travel Van Unity 24MB (with that queen size murphy bed) and will take delivery this coming October. We can't wait!

Some of you will note we had a 36' Winnebago Vista. No more. After a 10,000+ mile trip across Canada and around the US plus lots of little trips we decided the Vista was just too big Traded this class A in for a 2013 Jayco Pinnacle fiver which we live in. As it's 40 feet 4 inches she doesn't get moved! Ever! That's why the LTV: we MISS motorhoming!

Once the rv bug has bitten, it's forever. Isn't it.:B

  • we,ve had our LTV freedom serenity since new 2007 .still love it .one of the things I like best is 20mpg. just love passing those big A,s geting 8mpg . we don,t spend much time in the rv so it works just fine.
  • Congratulations!! you will love your new Unity. But I suspect that this thread will be moved to the Class C section as it is a Class C, not a Class B.
  • Actually, it is a class B, officially. The company itself deems it so, as do others for insurance purposes. Really it's a bit of a hybrid: built on a Mercedes chassis but without the cab overhang.

  • Curious, why wait and get the 2015 in Oct and lose a whole summer of camping? Is the 2015 going to have some changes? Also what was the price of the 2015
  • Sorry, cab overhang has nothing to do with it. If it's built on a cab-chassis (aka 'cutaway'), it is a C, officially per RVIA. This has argued many times here before.

Jim, "I had a handle on life, but it broke."
  • We have to wait until Oct. for the 2015 as we want a new unit and 2014s are sold out of dealers' inventories. More importantly, the 2015 has several new standard and optional features not available on previous models, such as a dedicated freezer above the frig. Before, there was only a removable divider creating freezer space. As we'll be snowbirding in this rig for approximately 5 months, we wanted a better and more permanent freezer configuration.

Ultimately of course it's a matter of choice. Thanks for asking.

  • braeworth - Thank you, I couldn't find a comparison chart between the 14, and 15. Yes I agree about the freezer, that's the only way to go. I wonder why manufacturers still make the divider models.
For be I'm vacillating between a Sprinter van style and the bigger Unity. Looks like I'll be in a wheel chair drooling on my chin still debating this issue 10 years from now. :(

You're both right, it's a B+ just as LTV says.

    Very sweet MH!
