2018 Coachmen LEPRECHAUN 200CBT

Hi Everyone,

I recently sold by 15 years old RV and plan to get a smaller class B/C . 2 of the choices are Coachmen LEPRECHAUN 200CBT and Winnebago Winnie 22R. I read a lot about Coachmen's azdel which claims to be superior but I am concerned about the roof. I am not sure if azdel is used for the roof and how is it compared to fiberglass used in Winnie's roofs. What are your thoughts about these 2 products?

  • Our '15 Coachmen has the TPO roof. Fiberglass is cool but, we based our decision on other parameters. My thinking, they are all okay if maintained...

  • Azdel is used for the sidewalls. According to their website they have a TPO roof (at least on the new ones). I don't believe the 200 CBT model is listed for this year in their Leprechaun model, but is listed in the Freelander model.

Sounds like it's lightweight and resists rot/mold if exposed to moisture. Unlike wood or particle board. It says it's a composite of polypropylene and fiberglass, so if used up top, would probably be similar to fiberglass.
As long as it doesn't wind up becoming toxic or shedding toxic fumes if/when heated, it seems like it would work.
Is there a Coachmen forum you could post this question up on? To get some anecdotal experience?
