I am getting a 40' diesel RV and want to tow a 20' car trailer. What are some of the problems I may encounter with towing a trailer of this size? Parking in campgrounds? Fueling up? Is it common to tow something of this size or does it present too many problems. Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
We tow a 26' Haulmark Edge race trailer (measures 31'total) behind our 40' Dynasty and love it. You do have to plan ahead for campgrounds but it is not that big of a deal. We are used to planning well in advance.
Fuel stops are no big deal as we just pull into truck fueling lanes. There have been a few times when we have had to drop the trailer and then park in our site but they are few and far between when planning ahead, moreso when just winging it which we seldom do.
I like arriving at my destination and having the Jeep and the Harley clean as well as taking my rolling shop along with me.
