5 Star Tuning
Does anyone use the 5 Star Tuning Add on for better performance on tne ford V10. I have 05 Hurricane with the 2 Valve V10. Just wondering if the added power is worth the money.

Installed mine on a 2014 V-10 two weeks ago. Tranny shift points are better. That loud downshift from 2,000 to 4200 rpm is much less frequent. My Scan Gauge II shows an increased HP at most speeds compared to readings before the install. It also shows a LOWER mpg than previously. Haven't driven enough to know if the mpg has actually been reduced.
BTW, mpg is about 7 on this 22k CGVW. My old 2000 V-10, CGVW 26k, with a BANKS averaged 7.75 over the 130k miles I owned it. The "new improved V-10" has not impressed me. My assessment is that the engine, transmission, rear end combo is poorly matched on the 2014 18,000 F53. Second BTW: had to tear the 2000 V-10 down due to a spit plug at 127k. It had zero measureable wear. Used Amsoil and then Mobile 1, and a dual filter system with oil tests at 7500 miles. Oil changes usually suggested at 35-40k miles.
Both had/have plenty of power. Most of my trips cross the continental divide in the Rockies 8 to 10 times,
