Just added a 30A rv plug on the side of my House Not sure how you can screw that up as its a typical house plug basically.I didnt wire a 50A because i wont be living in it in the driveway LOL
On one side of my house there was already some #10awg wire with a 30amp breaker on and old outlet that I no longer needed, so took the lazy way out and just installed a 50amp range outlet for the RV and since I have connected a 50amp plug on my 30amp service cord, I don't even have to use an adapter cord. As I've said previously, the 50amp plugs hold up like forever in the campgrounds vs the burning and failure that goes on with 30amp plugs. On the other side of the house, I installed new, but since I only had 3 conductor wire on hand, I installed a 30amp outlet instead and just use a converter for it. I'm not buying when I don't have to and like you said, it's not like I'm living out there full time.
