50 amp surge protectors

Installed a Progressive Industries EMS-LCHW50 hardwired unit in 2006. Saved me several times. Earlier this summer got connected to a bad power supply and it protected my motor home but burned out the protector. Corrected the power pole and bypassed the unit after reassuring every thing was ok. Called Progressive Industries and told them it was my fault that it was miss wired, they said under warranty we will send you a new no charge. mind you it was 12 years old, can't beat service like that. we were on the road and when we got home 3 days later a new one was sitting on my porch. I also like the remote where I can monitor voltage and amperage inside.
Did I say warranteed for life, other manufactorers don't offer this.
