Both of you are going about this side ways. You are not giving good info. Maybe because you don't know the why. Knowing the why and what will help both of you be right and happy. I would not be happy if I burned up an AC unit.

As someone said earlier, 30amps will work fine, as long as it is 120 volt service. 240 volt service(as most dryers are, will let the smoke out and something will not work any more.

What you need to know is how many volts you have left. Get a Kill-A-Watt. It will tell you how many volts you have a available. If they drop below 108 volts, you will start incurring heat damage to your AC and other appliances being used. There may not seem to be any issues at the time this can reduce the life of your AC. Those motors don't like heat. Look at the cost of replacing the AC. This will convince you that a little info and diligence and the cost of the Kill-A-Watt is worth it and it will help the DW to understand.

I did check it. It looks fine. I did find that the 30 amp plug looks a lot like a dryer outlet, but it won't fit. I'm hoping now that she plugged into something else and didn't couple all the way down to a 15 amp outlet. I'll "carefully" broach the subject this afternoon.

Hi,

If possible, on a 30 amp service, draw no more than 24 amps continuous. Over that number, monitor voltage carefully.

I've added two auxiliary shore power cords, one for the converter for when there is a single 15 amp service. I plug in just the converter and use my inverter for the "house loads".

The other auxiliary cord is for my water heater (and an extra plug). I use it in campgrounds where there are 30 and 15 amp outlets.

For "switching" I used regular male and female plugs, so I can move from OEM configuration to auxiliary in about ten seconds.

The same thing could be done when there are two air conditioners. Simply add a plug system near or even right in the power center. If there is no place for a plug then an appropriate switch could be used.

BTW did you inspect the 50/30 adapter for heat damage upon return?

On my coach, with good power, the two air conditioners together with the noraml light loads (TV's DVR's et-al) draw 27 amps. By measurement.

Yes you can run two air conditions on 30 amps but not much else. Plug in a hair dryer or heat something in the microwave and the circuit breaker you are pulling power from will trip. Since she is visiting family I would suspect beyond the air conditioners the electrical load was minimal.

Using a cloths dryer or arc welder outlet without some type of adapter would have burned up (as in actual smoke coming out) everything 120VAC that was plugged in such as the microwave, power converter, TVs and such. Since she didn't call to say the coach was on fire someone must have done something right in the adaptor category.

I'd call this one a push. Can be done but not recommended and the dryer outlet, well you can give it a try but not with my coach.

Lots of people post about running two air conditioners on 30a service.
Not much else. They draw about 10 to 14 amps each so just start one at a time.
