50 amp/30 amp
Thought I'd post this up while I had the laptop out. As stated elsewhere, my wife took our Holiday Rambler out this weekend without me. When this is the case, she always does the things I tell her not to as she asks me.
This case concerns amperage. I know if we run both ACs we need to be hooked up to a 50 amp service. She was only hooked to 30 amp and ran both anyway. She said everything ran fine like that (telling me only to throw up in my face that I was wrong). I told her that either the coach could sense it was only hooked to 30 amps and never turned on both compressors (I really don't think my coach is that smart!) or she got really lucky and they never kicked on together, or even worse she might have done some damage to the compressor motors. There wasn't much more 120v pull anywhere in the coach.
Who's right?
