With some Christmas money I want to buy myself the VMSpc for my coach but I don't know if it uses the 6- or 9-pin connection. My coach is not where I can conveniently get to and check on it. Does anyone know what the connector is for a 2008 Tiffin Phaeton 40qsh?
RV Upgrades used to have the best price don't know if that is still so. Just a FYI - WAFlowersExplorerThank you Scott. The 9-pin info confirms the response I received in a Tiffin forum.
Jerry, If I could get to the coach I could check the connectors, but that is difficult at the moment. And I think you will have to wait a LONG time for an Android app; the driver needed isn't in any standard Android implementation and requires some complicated (for most people) installation procedure. It isn't as simple as downloading something via Google Play.
We will eventually have a Microsoft Surface 3 on the driver's side running VMSpc (or something even more advanced that I can't talk about yet) and on the passenger/navigator side a 10" Android tablet running CoPilot or Waze or Maps or ... - jplante4Explorer IIAlso look in the engine service bay. Should be the same connector next to the steering column.
I'm waiting for the Android app before I pull the trigger on Silver Leaf. I don't need another screen on the dash. - FIRE_UPExplorer

Typically those the 9 pin, J-1939 diagnostic port, that's normally hanging around near the firewall, below and to the left of the steering column. They can be a pain to find but, they're there.
