- IAMICHABODExplorer IIYou should be just fine,My Tioga came with the optional 2 6 Volt batteries under the step. They are designed for that weight.
That is if your battery compartment looks like mine.
- classctioga73ExplorerI have a 2000 fleet wood tioga with the battery well under the door step. I see no structural damage or comprise to the battery well, but with the added weight of the 6 volt batteries is there a concern I am overloading the well? Has anyone had issues in the past?
- classctioga73ExplorerWhere did you buy those US battery??
- BordercollieExplorerI bought two US brand 6 volt to replace old T-105's on advice of a local battery shop. $50 less apiece, seem to be as good.

Better to me means more expensive.
I save the $40 and make an appointment...usually done in around 30-45 minutes... - KD4UPLExplorer IIBoth batteries should be excellent.
- cgmartineExplorerInteresting question. Its kinda of like asking which one of two beautiful blondes is the best. They both are the best. I've had a Deka battery in my Goldwing and Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and I now have Trojan T-106 in my motohome. I once drove from Hemet, California to Phoenix, Arizona, just to pick up a Deka. With that said, I would venture to guess that the Trojans are more widely used in golf carts and motorhome applications than Dekas, but that does not necessarily make them any "better."
- TooTall2ExplorerTake a look at the Duracells. They are made by Deka. My see link below. I made a little movie about the 6 v battery install.

It was common to see larger Deka batteries in pallet trucks and sometimes lift trucks. Many times a new foreman would cut back to cheap no name 6 volts and before long they'd be scrambling to get a couple pallet loads of Trojans in. I'd buy Trojan. Do you have 14.8 volts available for daily charging?
