I've seen them with both the 20,000 and 22,000 GCVW and the only difference I could see was wheelbase and overall length. I couldn't tell for sure but it seemed like if there was a larger overhang behind the rear tires it had the smaller GCVWR.
The more I look, the more things I'm finding about new RVs and tow hitches. I have now found a couple of brand new Class As with the 7,500# hitch on them. None are in stock at a dealerships yet and the literature from the Manufacturers and specs from the dealer ads are spotty at best at how accurate they are.
One salesman told me that Fleetwood upped their tow rating on the Sunseeker models first so Thor responded by doing the same on some of their B+s and Cs...only they upped them to 8,000 vs the 7,500 Fleetwood uses.
I am not necessarily in a hurry to purchase and unless a spectacular deal surfaces will most likely wait until the RV shows start before buying. Maybe by then the manufacturers and dealers will all be updated on their data.
