Have you considered the Nexus Super C. It comes with a 10,000 lb hitch, and a diesel engine. Cruising in some hills with a Ford V10, and with that much weight on behind, you will be shifting down a gear or two constantly. The diesel won't do that, and you will get better mileage. For what you seem to want to do, this would be a very good solution, IMO
