I wouldn't rely solely on the label attached to the hitch by its manufacturer. For example the LCI (Lippert?) hitch in photo above is labeled "8000" but has a disclaimer in the text. What with frame extensions, GAWR numbers, I think the MH manufacturer's rating warrants serious consideration.
I'm not sure that the MH builders re-label a hitch to match their numbers. Actually pretty sure they do NOT.
Our coach has a warning about Brakes. States that the chassis braking system is rated at GVWR not GCWR.
