Big bummer! Let us know what they do. You can always second quess insurance company's. Sometimes they turn around and offer a sound deal. But, I like the idea (considering your financial position) take cover off, minimize potential problems there, and take what they offer-buy back the unit and have it repaired. Interesting idea
