i hope you get a covered repair
BUT this was not a driving incident, it was parked
and unless the coverage includes a "home owners" type coverage
is likely to get denied
RV polices are slightly different than "cars and trucks" and you just might get lucky
I don't know what type of motorhome policies you have had, but my policy includes comprehensive coverage and incidents like this are what comprehensive coverage is for.
well i have comprehesnive, but i'll be the first to admit i never gave wind damage to the roof a thought, i mean most of the time we drive a lot faster than what gusting winds speeds are
i always think of glass breakage vandalisim and theif
when i think of comprehensive
Nope, all kinds of other things covered too. What if the wind toppled a tree that fell on your motorhome? Clearly covered under your comprehensive coverage. Fire is also covered by comprehensive. Tornado or hurricane damage is also covered. This is storm damage, so it should be covered, unless the insurance company can make the case that the only reason the storm was able to damage it is because the roof was on the verge of coming off anyway so the storm didn't really damage it, your lack of maintenance caused it. I think the burden is pretty high for them to make that type of denial.
