Which do you think is cheaper to repair or replace. Replacing a fiberglass roof cost more than a lot of the coaches are worth.Bird Freak wrote:
This really makes me want a fiberglass roof some people think is so great.
Because a rubber roof has never come off in hurricane force winds?
What is easier to damage, a fiberglass roof or a rubber roof? My fiberglass roof is over 10 years old now and other than re-sealing and pressure washing the fiberglass itself has been maintenance free. I hit some low hanging branches last year that I miscalculated the height of and they broke my A/C cover and ripped the lid off the bathroom vent, but did nothing at all to the fiberglass. Would a rubber roof have done the same? So yeah, a fiberglass roof may cost more to fix, but it's also way more difficult to damage.
My point? You are the one who made this statement: "This really makes me want a fiberglass roof some people think is so great." In all the debates on here I've ever heard about fiberglass versus rubber, I have yet to hear anybody say go with rubber if they had a choice between the two.
