80mph gusts wind ..ripped off half roof
A couple days ago Utah was hit with winds steady at 40-50 and gusts up to 80mph... during that time the wind side edge of my roof on my 1993 itasca sunrise began to peell back... after a few minutes ...

Having worked on both, the fiberglass style in question, and more than a few rubber roofs, I can assure you the rubber roof won't blow off. While a rubber roof certainly has it's own set of issues, blowing off isn't one of them. A typical rubber roof is both glued and mechanically fastened. Even if you cut a section away from the mechanical fastening part at best all it would do is flap a little. They just aren't rigid enough to completely peel.
