and thank you! just figuring out what it could be is so amazingly helpful! I had a ford 350 van a long time ago and thought I was clever, but hahahahhahaha! I did check for belts and everything before I bought it, just never thought anyone would be stupid enough to not have it connected to the fan or alt. wow.
